Hafsa Shamsie's career spans twenty-nine years and includes hands-on operational experience as well as strategic senior leadership roles in blue-chip multinational companies for the most part. She has held senior positions looking at all areas of Finance including strategic planning, business analysis, financial and management reporting, treasury, tax, risk management, governance and controls. Additionally, she has held Company Secretarial roles and ensured compliance with legislations and regulations for listed companies. Throughout her career, she has worked with some of the best companies of Pakistan including ICI Pakistan Ltd, Shell Pakistan Ltd, Pakistan Refinery Ltd, Engro Corporation etc. She joined Roche Pakistan in 2016 and has recently returned from her assignment in Roche Netherlands to take on the role as Managing Director of Roche Pakistan.
