Asif Ahmad is the Country General Manager and Technology Leader for IBM Pakistan. Before joining IBM in 2011, he worked with Nokia Siemens Networks and various other organizations in Pakistan. Asif has been working with the IT and Telecom industry for over 23 years. He has a successful track record of carrying out various leadership roles in Sales and Distribution, Business Development, Program/Project Management, and Software Development while serving different industries within the country including Financial Sector, Telecommunication Sector, Public and Defense Sector, and Energy and Utilities. Currently, he is actively engaged with various industries and organization to help them develop their Digital Strategy, Innovation Engine, and Competence Building around key growth areas including Artificial Intelligence, Cloud, Automation, Information Security, Infrastructure Consolidation, and Data Analytics. He champions the power of technology to drive business value and is a staunch advocate for building competencies in emerging technologies. He carries a master’s degree in information systems engineering from Cardiff University UK after completing his bachelor’s in engineering from Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology. He has also attended various executive education programs from Columbia University, Boston University and Singapore Management University.
