Ahmed took over as the Country Officer for Citibank N.A., Pakistan in January 2021. He has been associated with Citi since February 2000. Earlier, he was based in UAE as the Chief Operating Officer for Citi’s Business across EMEA Emerging Markets. This cluster represents 29 countries where Citi has a regional representation. Within Citi Network, Ahmed has worked in Pakistan, Greece and UK, across several areas including Investment Banking, Corporate Banking, Treasury & Trade Solutions, and Operations & Technology. Earlier in his career, Ahmed has also served a period at the American Express Bank in Pakistan. He was recently elected as the Vice Chairman of The Pakistan Banks Association. He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and Master of Arts degree in International Relations & Diplomacy.
