Dear Readers,
A very warm welcome to OICCI’s website.
The Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OICCI) is the collective voice of top 200 foreign investors in Pakistan, representing over 30 countries spanning 14 key sectors and , as a trade body, is the largest contributor to the tax revenue and foreign investment in the country . Many of the members have been operating in Pakistan for over 40 years, some even for 75 years. OICCI members have to-date invested over $ 160 B in Pakistan. Besides doing good business and investment, the overseas investors are playing a key role in leading the transfer of technology and best practices in the country. OICCI has been a regular contributor towards policy reform, recommending best practices to promote FDI and ease of doing business and promoting Pakistan as a viable foreign investment destination. We conduct regular surveys and research with foreign investors, OICCI members, including on Business Confidence and Perception and Investment Survey. The key findings of all our research and surveys are available on this website.
OICCI, being the umbrella body of foreign investors in Pakistan, is the first point of call for most potential foreign investors who can get first hand feedback on the current policy and practices relating to most matters including on taxation, IPR and operational matters like security and Business confidence. For potential new foreign investors, OICCI is able to share factual information , which may give them a balanced view of the opportunities and challenges vs the negative perception of the country and its operating environment.
OICCI is currently undertaking a comprehensive analytical research on six key sectors with the help of a well known international consultancy firm, Mckinsey and hope to give by end of 2023 or beginning of 2024 more fact based data on the selected sectors post the research.
We encourage you to go through the website in detail and review our many reports and surveys giving a candid view on the opportunities and challenges for investors in Pakistan.
We look forward to your comments and feedback on specific matters of interest to foreign investors in Pakistan.
Best regards
Abdul Aleem CE/Secretary General
