The OICCI Security Awareness Session was held on August 1, 2024, for security experts from member companies. The session, titled "Agile Security Management for Modern Corporate Challenges" was conducted by Dr. Shahid Mirza, Head of Security at Engro Corporation and a member of the OICCI security subcommittee. This hybrid session was attended by approximately 43 participants, both in-person and online.

Dr. Shahid discussed agile security management, emphasizing a risk-based approach, continuous learning, and flexibility in handling various threats. He explained corporate risk management by integrating security across the organization rather than treating it separately. The discussion covered identifying, analyzing, evaluating, and implementing risks, as well as impact assessment. Four key risk areas were mentioned: people, facilities, processes, and technology.

He stressed the need for a standardized, proactive approach to security across various fields such as event security, executive security, and personnel security. He highlighted the importance of creating an environment for informed decision-making and the need for standard-setting organizations in various industries. The discussion also suggested the value of sharing information and security best practices, which are beneficial for members in addressing similar security situations.
