The OICCI hosted an insightful executive roundtable on '𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗜 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀,’ focusing on the immense potential and unique challenges of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Pakistan's business landscape.

Led by industry leader Ijlal Jafri, Group CIO of Martin Dow Limited, this roundtable was a powerhouse of knowledge and collaboration. OICCI members had the honor of hearing from leaders like Jawwad Shamsi, DEAN FAST NU, Karachi, and Saquib Ahmad, OICCI Managing Committee Member and Country Managing Director of SAP, who emphasized the critical need for collaboration and practical AI implementation across various industries.

Mr. Shamsi eloquently explained how AI could transform not only industries but also the entire Pakistani economy by attracting FDI focused on digital advancements. He highlighted the transformative potential of AI for businesses and societies, while also addressing the ethical considerations and implementation challenges.

Subsequently, the esteemed panel moderated by Mr. Ijlal, featuring experts such as Kh. Tanveer Saleem, CIO of United Energy Pakistan, Azhar Nawaz, Group CIO of Engro Corp, Faisal Amir, CIO of PARCO - Pak-Arab Refinery Limited, and Raza Abbas, CTO of Unilever Pakistan, underscored the importance of identifying AI opportunities, building expertise, and overcoming hurdles like data quality issues and operational difficulties.
