Day 1 of the 3rd Pakistan Climate Conference 2025 concluded with impactful discussions on Pakistan’s climate policy, finance strategies, and sustainability efforts. Keynotes by Dr. Shamshad Akhtar on the economic impact of climate change and Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb on mobilizing sufficient climate finance for climate goals set the tone for urgent action. Panel discussions explored climate finance, carbon markets, and circular economy solutions, featuring insights from experts across government, banking, and industry.

The Minister commended OICCI’s role in bringing together policymakers and businesses and urged the private sector to come up with green investable and bankable projects. He reaffirmed the Ministry of Finance’s commitment to fostering sustainable growth through reforms and capacity building.

Day 2 of the 3rd Pakistan Climate Conference 2025 concluded with a powerful finale, featuring the inaugural OICCI Climate Excellence Awards to recognize outstanding corporate leadership in sustainability. Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, speaking as the Chief Guest, commended OICCI’s efforts in addressing climate challenges and highlighted the Sindh Government’s commitment to climate resilience, including its initiative to build 2 million houses for flood victims.
