Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal Chaudhary visited OICCI on Thursday, January 23, 2025 to engage with foreign investors and business leaders. He was welcomed by President OICCI Yousaf Hussain, Secretary-General OICCI M Abdul Aleem and Executive Director Kashif Shafi.

President OICCI thanked Minister Ahsan Iqbal for taking out time to engage with foreign investors and businesses on his invitation. He appreciated the government's efforts and initiatives for economic stability, especially its recently launched 5-Year Plan, ‘Uraan Pakistan’ which aims to transform Pakistan economy. Secretary-General OICCI M Abdul Aleem gave a presentation on OICCI's contribution to economy, its role in policy reforms and advocacy, and bringing in FDI to Pakistan. He stressed the need for policy consistency, among other things, to improve Pakistan's perception as a lucrative investment destination.

Minister Ahsan Iqbal briefed the members on Uraan Pakistan and spoke about the need for policy continuity for sustained economic growth. He also had a Q&A session with members, listening to their concerns and suggestions, and answering them respectively.

The session was attended by MC Member/Chief Executive Officer Pakistan Cables Limited Fahd Chinoy, MC Member/Managing Director Roche Pakistan Hafsa Shamsie, and other esteemed members of OICCI.
