Karachi AIG Police, Khadim Hussain Rind visited the OICCI on Nov 23 and held an interactive security awareness session with the Chamber’s members. AIG Rind shed light on proactive measures Sindh Police has taken to maintain law & order in Sindh, including reducing street crimes in Karachi.
During the session, OICCI CE/Secretary General M Abdul Aleem, alongside DuPont Pakistan CEO Kamran Ataullah Khan, apprised AIG Rind on the latest Security Survey conducted by the Chamber to gauge the perception of its members on the security situation of the province.
According to the survey results, 17 percent of respondents expressed improvement in the law & order situation in Karachi, while 69 percent felt that the situation has deteriorated. For Sindh, 12 percent believed the security situation has improved and 58 percent expressed it has worsened.
AIG Rind also replied to concerns raised by OICCI members who attended the session and maintained that creating awareness on security is crucial to deal with the law & order situation.
